In reply to <a href="https://holdensafaris.com/follow-us-on-our-safari-to-south-africa/#comment-403">Ofelia Aranda</a>.

I just got back from South Africa, Ofelia.
1). I don't know what kind of cell phone you use. I have a Google Fi Pixel 2, and love it, as I can make international calls for 20 cents/minute and free texting in 135 countries. I love this phone as there are no extra steps to take to make these calls. I used to have a dual SIM card phone when I lived in Lesotho. One for Lesotho, and one for the US.
2). They use 220 volts in South Africa. You can buy adapters for your plugs online or at Rootens luggage store in Irvine, where Jim Holden and I make presentations. They offer 10% off Safari clothing and other items to Holden Safaris clients.
3). August is going into Spring. God weather, no rain.
4). Where are you traveling?
5). We always recommend anti-malaria in Kruger and other parts of South Africa. You don't need it in Cape Town or Madikwe area though, which is malaria free.
6). We also recommend yellow-fever, however if you are only going in and out of South Africa, you don't need it.
7). No visa required for South Africa. Just a passport valid for minimum 6 months after you arrive, and two blank pages in your passport.
Call me at 949-402-7828 if you want to come by and meet Jim and me.
